TERROR CALL
1ST LITERARY PRIZE “ESPASMOS” CABUREIWA EDITORIAL
REGULATIONS 2021
1. OBJECT
1. 1. This call aims to select works in the short story, novel, romance and poetry genres that deal with haunting, supernatural, fantastic themes, science fiction, among others, that address or are set in the spheres of horror and terror with the purpose of revealing and encouraging nine authors.
1.2. Competing works will be classified as First Place, Second Place and Third Place.
1.3. Co-authored works will be accepted.
2. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
2.1. Any person residing in Brazil or residing in any of the Portuguese-speaking countries and who is 18 years of age and who has never had a book edited and published can register.
2.2. New and/or unpublished authors are those who do not have work published in small, medium or large publishers, as well as who do not have work published online and/or on platforms.
2.3. It's a condition

3. REGISTRATION
3.1. Registration to participate in this call is absolutely free, with no charges being charged, whether in the form of fees, collaboration, contributions, among others.
3.2. From 00:00 on October 31, 2021 until 23:59 on March 2, 2022, a registration form can be requested via WhatsApp from Cabureiwa Editorial: 55 (11) 2366 1657. This number is exclusively for text messages, calls and voice messages will not be considered.
3.3. Each proponent may participate with as many works and in which genres as they wish, as long as they meet the rules and specifications in item 4 of these regulations.
3.4. The following participant data must be filled in on the registration form: a) Full name; b) Pseudonym; c) Title of the work; d) CPF number; e) Date of birth; f) Address; g) Number and address complement; h) Neighborhood; i) ZIP code; j) City; k) Federal Unit; l) Country; m) Cell phone number; n) Landline telephone number (if any); n) Email; o) Participant biography [up to 1,500 characters]; p) include the documents that must be sent, such as ID and proof of residence.
3.4.1. As mandatory supporting documentation, the applicant must also attach a copy of their ID and a copy of proof of residence.
3.5. Registrations that do not fully comply with the clauses of this regulation, that are not completely completed and/or that do not present the complete required documentation will not be accepted and/or validated.
3.6. No changes and/or additions will be accepted after registrations have been received.
3.7. The authenticity of the data provided or the texts is the exclusive responsibility of the participants, and Cabureiwa Editorial will not be responsible for any implications regarding the provision of false data or plagiarism of texts.
3.8. The discovery of false data and/or plagiarism will result in the elimination of the participant in this competition.
3.9. Participants who don't like the page

3.10. Registration validation will only happen after verifying that the competing person liked the page

@cabureiwa on Instagram. Each registrant will receive registration validation via the email provided.
4. TEXTS
4.1. The themes of this competition are haunting, supernatural, fantastic plots, science fiction, suspense, among others. Or poems that talk about this universe.
4.2. Books in the form of short stories, novels, novels and poetry that deal with the supernatural and/or fantastic universe with at least 40 pages will be accepted. There is no maximum extension limit.
4.3. Books must be sent in Word and PDF formats. They must be formatted in Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 spacing and 3 cm margins. In the case of books of poems, the layout on the pages is free, as long as the font, font size and margins are respected.
4.4. The works sent must be unpublished and by authors never published in any form, whether by publishers or through platforms.
4.5. Each participant declares to be responsible for the authorship of the work(s) forwarded, and this work(s) does not constitute plagiarism or any other form of copyright, under penalty of law, assuming all responsibilities arising from plagiarism, copies and/or similar.
5. SELECTION
5.1. One (1) single work will be selected from among all those entered in this competition, chosen from the genres of short story, novel, novel and poetry.
5.2. All works submitted during the registration period will be assessed by a judging panel made up of qualified professionals in the areas of literature and culture.
5.2.3. The criteria for judging are: mastery of narrative and/or poetic techniques, originality and creativity.
5.2.4. The evaluation of the judging committee is sovereign, with no objections or appeals permitted. The right of the judging committee not to award any work, if it so considers, is protected.
5.2.5. The final result will be announced on October 31, 2022 via the profile

6. THE AWARD
6.1. The winning work will be communicated to the competing person via official email by November 30, 2022, who will have up to 48 hours to respond with acceptance of the prize and initiating publication procedures.
6.2. If the prize is rejected, it will be awarded to second or third place, respectively.
6.3. The winning work will be published in full and completely free of charge by Cabureiwa Editorial in physical and digital versions, with all copyrights guaranteed, in accordance with the law.
6.4. The winning work will be an integral part of the Espasmos Series, by Cabureiwa Editorial, with all copyrights safeguarded.
7. GENERAL PROVISIONS
7.1. It is up to Cabureiwa Editorial to remedy any gaps and/or objections not foreseen in this notice, as long as they are strictly necessary for the transparent progress and execution of this competition.
7.2. Each participant hereby authorizes the publication of their names, texts, images and voice sounds through the digital and printed media used by Cabureiwa Editorial without limitations of any kind for the dissemination and execution of this competition.
7.3. This notice will be published on the Instagram profile, on the Facebook page and on the Cabureiwa Editorial website (www.cabureiwa.com).
7.4. Simply registering for this call implies automatic and full agreement with this regulation in all its terms.
